St George's Day Festival
Saturday 17th April 2010
Oranisations and groups in Morley are already busy planning for one of the town's biggest and best events, the St George's festival weekend.
This year's event is on Saturday and Sunday, April 17 and 18, with lots of events being held both in the town centre and at the sports clubs on Scatcherd Lane.
Keith Robinson, president of the Morley Chamber of Trade said: "The fun is focused along Queen Street on the Saturday with Sunday's activities starting at the town hall with a parade at 11am up to the rugby and cricket grounds for the entertainment to continue throughout the afternoon.
The chamber would like to hear from any individuals or organisations wanting to book a stall for the day.
"While we are looking for as diverse a range as possible we want the St George's theme to run throughout," Keith said.
Stalls cost £25 for chamber members, £30 for others and prices are available on request for spaces bigger than eight by four feet.
For more information or to book a stall, ring event organiser Beverley Towle on 07966 573553, e-mail her at beverley.towle@hotmail.co.uk or visit www.morleychamber.co.uk to download an application form.
